If you’re a taxpayer in the U.S. or Canada, you should be ANGRY - TopicsExpress

If you’re a taxpayer in the U.S. or Canada, you should be ANGRY AS H***! Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) just opened five new stores in the U.S., and you know what? At the Warwick, RI store yesterday sales totaled a whopping $47,000, but YOU SUBSIDIZE their employees!! That’s right, most if not all make the state minimum wage of $9.00 per hour. Violating Henry Ford’s principle of paying staff a wage that allows them to purchase the product they produce or deliver, they cannot buy a pair of Sperry Top-Siders on what they make even with the employee discount, and worse yet, YOU are paying for them to be on PUBLIC ASSISTANCE, RECEIVE FREE Obamacare, HOUSING ASSISTANCE, HEATING ASSISTANCE, FREE CHILDCARE, EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE AND GRANTS, AND ON, AND ON, AND ON! In addition, DSW receives tax CREDITS for these minorities, and to add insult to injury, they do not E-Verify to screen out illegal aliens. Had enough? Speak with your wallet and spread the word across the continent – they are making a killing while you support their employees, and their stock price is up! A customer told me over the summer that the stock took a dip and she was jumping in because it was such a good deal – she’s clearly done well at OUR expense. A study this year showed that it takes an income of $17.00 per hour to rent modest housing in Rhode Island. There is NO reason that DSW cannot pay their sales staff at least this rate. This is a group of hard working people, many of whom work more than one job and are called on to do such things as help customers with complicated fitting issues such as “pronations”, so emails to the corporate office of complements naming staff is always welcome. They accrue points (no bonus or commission) allowing them to pick little trinkets from a gift catalog and sometimes it’s a much needed item. I hope you’ll take the time to contact the corporate office and demand the DWS pay their own employee costs or you’ll continue to do it without even shopping there! What’s this doing to YOUR family and YOUR ability to save for your own retirement, and the local small businesses that must compete with them? If they don’t react quickly, walk away with your wallet and shop elsewhere because they must be shut down – they cost the public too much to operate. investors.dswshoe/stock-quote
