If you’re already a flamboyantly gay, party-going Israeli man, there’s an argument that you’ve got little to lose when it comes to annoying the Islamic State (Isis). Even so, promoting nightclub events with homoerotic reinterpretations of the fanatical Islamist group’s execution videos was probably not a very good idea – not least for the offence caused to relatives of the journalists who have been Isis’s victims.
