Ifeoluwa Oyedele Reports in the media state that delegates to the National Conference will each be paid N4:00 million monthly as accommodation and transportation expense and another sum of N30,000.00 daily as feeding expense. This means each delegate will collect N14,700,000:00 or approximately $100,000.00 for the 3-month period of the confab. Majority of the delegates are avid critics of members of the National Assembly for collecting jumbo pay. This is an opportunity for them to practise what they preach by rejecting this obnoxious act. I am expecting that the first motion that will be moved will be to reject that jumbo and obscene pay in a country where more than 80% of its assumed 160 million citizens live on below $2 a day. I am anxiously waiting.
