Brutal, considering the cost of living in the SF Bay, but not impossible. Then, the organizer offered me $500 for the same amount of time if I could instead do a DJ set. So like Iggy Pop in the article above, I became a DJ. We do what we have to do, for what we love. I was just speaking to a successful independent brewer tonight who told me he creates beer 20% of the time and manages demand 80% of the time. 80/20 principle is doing what you love, he said. Do I wish I had more time to write and record new music for you all? Yes. Will I do anything I have to do, to make that happen as soon as possible? Yes. In fact, Im working them now.
