Igniting Our Right Kind of Faith --- Many of us have no idea what Bible Faith really is ---I know I didnt and this is a subject that is very vital to our belief system ---- Scripture is clear that without Faith we cant please God -----so this Faith believes in what we dont see -----we dont see the wind but we know it is there cause we feel it and we see the results of it --so we have Faith that wind exist ----We believe in God but we dont see Him ----We believe in radio waves that we dont see cause we listen to our radios and watch our TV ----- Hebrews 11--- (AMP)---6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. The word Faith is used in a general way -----many say I am of the Catholic Faith ---The Jewish Faith ---etc but there is God Kind of Faith as well and this to me is not talked about much ---- Generic Faith or Intellectual Faith is a belief in a religion or what we see --hear --touch --feel and taste ----we have a Faith in our Doctors ---the pill we take to heal us ----our church and ministers to teach us ---etc --- Bible Faith is having confidence that what is not seen can in fact help us in this seen physical world -God is not seem but God can help us if we believe He can ----Faith comes from hearing Gods word ----so when we dont go to church or read the Bible ---this Faith is not obtained -----Intellectual Faith is in place ---- Romans 10-(GW)--17 So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message that is heard is what Christ spoke.- This type of Faith Produces what is not seen into the seen ----- This type of Faith is called God Kind of Faith -----God created this world with it -----God said --let there be light --then He saw the light ----Words are seeds- they produce ----faith is what brings the words into this seen world ----it is our hope ----- we say I hope to get the job ---faith which is confidence in getting the job brings the right results ---- the Hebrew word Dabar and Davar---means word things ---words are things --God spoke and what He spoke came to be ---Remember we are made in Gods Likeness and Image ---- Every word we speak is a thing --and we can bring it from the unseen into this seen world ---That is why we need to be careful in what we say --or wish for ----- Ancient Hebrew Word Meanings---ancient-hebrew.org . The root word is davar and is most frequently translated as a thing or a word. The original picture painted by this word to the Hebrews is the arrangement of things to create order. Speech is an ordered arrangement of words. In the ancient Hebrew mind words are things and are just as real as food or other thing. ---When a word is spoken to another it is placed in the ears no different than when food is given to another it is placed in the mouth. Old Testament Hebrew---Entry for Strongs #1697 - דָּבָר Transliteration: ---dâbâr --- - I. Word:An arrangement of words. II. Thing:As something that is arranged. In Hebrew thought words contain substance just as physical objects do. word, thing, matter, act, chronicle, saying, commandment, This Faith is a substance --KJVD---Definition: substance ----In a general sense, being; something existing by itself; that which really is or exists; equally applicable to matter or spirit ---- Jesus healed people who had this type of Faith The woman with the blood problem had such Faith that all she needed to do was to touch Jesus cloak --- -- Luke 8:43-48 (GW)-----43 A woman who had been suffering from chronic bleeding for twelve years was in the crowd. No one could cure her. 44 She came up behind Jesus, touched the edge of his clothes, and her bleeding stopped at once. 48 Jesus told her, Daughter, ---your faith--- has made you well. Go in peace! The Parable of the Sower brings this to light -----this Parable is the most important Parable as it describes how Gods Kingdom works - -Gods word is seed ---seed produces through Faith---we have to nurture the seed by being thirsty for the word and keep the weeds of this world out ------ The Parable of the Sower------Jesus is speaking ----Mark 4 3 Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seed. 4 As he scattered it across his field, some of the seed fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate it. 5 Other seed fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seed sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But the plant soon wilted under the hot sun, and since it didn’t have deep roots, it died. 7 Other seed fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants so they produced no grain. 8 Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they sprouted, grew, and produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! 9 Then he said, Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand. The disciples ask Jesus the meaning of this parable --- Jesus says ---(Important Parable) If you can’t understand the meaning of this parable, how will you understand all the other parables? Jesus Explained this Parable ---- 14 The farmer plants seed by taking God’s word to others. 15 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message, only to have Satan come at once and take it away. 16 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. 17 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. 18 The seed that fell among the thorns represents others who hear God’s word, 19 but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced. 20 And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted! Notice:---- some produce thirty --some sixty etc ---depends on how deep the seed (Gods word) is rooted in Faith ----and guarded --- Good soil is our heart ---not the one that pumps blood but our Spirit man --- Greek word kardia:--- heart --- Definition: -- inner life, inner self , center.-------we have to keep the weeds out ---worry ---stress etc and we have to be aware of Satan who is our enemy who wants to keep us from Gods word (Seed) --getting rooted in us through Faith----that is Satans job to keep us as far away from God as he can ---- Saving Faith ----Ephesians 2 (NKJV)---- 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. No works can save a person ----it is very --very good and important to sing in the Quire ---serve at the soup kitchen ----help others ---etc ----but works by itself will not save us ------we need Jesus who is Grace and Faith in Him to be saved ----then putting our Faith to work will bear good fruit --as the Holy Spirit directs us ----we are not directing ourselves ------ May we all want to increase our God given Faith by maturing in our Christian walk -----and diligently getting into Gods word -----
