Ignorance – not “ignorant” behavior, but actual ignorance, - TopicsExpress

Ignorance – not “ignorant” behavior, but actual ignorance, as in a lack of knowledge or learning – can usually be excused. It simply means that a person, often through no fault of their own, has not had the occasion or opportunity in their life to acquire a certain information. However, I cannot abide blissful, aggressive, intentional wallowing in one’s ignorance. The conscious decision, when the opportunity has been presented, to eschew the acquisition of knowledge and/or understanding which is freely and readily available. Or worse, choosing to reject proven, factual information because possessing such knowledge might represent a change – however small or inconsequential – to one’s mental status quo.
