Ijabla Raymond Ill keep this one short. Theres a video of Reverend Father Mbaka of Adoration Catholic Church in Enugu that has gone viral. In it, the reverend condemns President Jonathans six years in government. He makes very persuasive argument on why GEJ does not deserve another term and why we should vote for General Buhari. He suggests that God, through the Holy Spirit, revealed this to him. Okay. Rewind to 6 weeks earlier: Heres the Reverend invoking God and the Holy Spirit to express his support for GEJ. I dont know whats happened to the Reverend Father in the space of 6 weeks but I know that until Nigerians learn to think for themselves, they will remain tools for religious and political manipulations. I gather that the Reverend has a large followership and is very influential. His crowd, like me, must be wondering whats happened to him in 6 weeks. Whilst they might conclude that God and the Holy Spirit appeared to him in a vision, I think that the Reverend needs to stop calling Gods name and just get on with his political persuasion or with what he needs to do.
