Ikwuano Umuahia Proffesionals WROTE: ITS A PITY In page 2 of the Sun newspaper of January 15 2015, a press release was published by Orji Uzor Kalu, titled; I AM NOT IN THE ABIA NORTH SENATORIAL DISTRICT RACE. In paragraph 6, he stated; From December 18, 2014, I travelled to London, and did not return till January 8, this year. It was while I was away that one of my aides, without authorization, filed my papers with PPA. We may say he did that in his earnestness to see me serve the people in my Senatorial District, but it is something we would still sort out in- house, since he should first have obtained my consent. First, there is no doubt he was out of the country according to him, but my concern is, why will a man like Kalu say his aide filed his papers to PPA without his authorization? Even if he is a consensus candidate of the PPA, how did they get the party form? how was he screened? Without his consent and authorization? I laugh. Is he telling us that he knew nothing about it until INEC published his name as a candidate of PPA? Again, I laugh. Second, even if he is out of the country, dont his aide have a GSM to get in touch with his master and get his authorization? For even the dead can be reached through a means, talk less of someone who just travelled to London. In other words, it means that the supposed master has no will of his own. Third, if his aide can forward his papers without his consent and authorization as he claimed, it means he has no authority, and again it means that the supposed master has turned to a slave. Permit me to say that, if the supposed aide is a female, it also means he is laying with her and as such, has lost his respect and regard as the boss. Fourth, which in-house is he going to sort it out with? The PPA? But he pledged allegiance to PDP. In this case, Kalu is nothing but a chameleon. If a common aide, whom he pays can act on his behalf without his consent and authorization, how then can he represent the people effectively. Little wonder his mother make decisions for him even when he was Governor. His mother became the Governor while he is just the ceremonial head. Who is Kalu trying to decieve? Looking at it from the other side of it, it is obvious that Kalu knows he will lose the election and as such wants to save himself from the shame. I weep for him because that press release, has shown he has no single administrative skill and power. Again, his media aides are a bunch of illiterates. They should have looked for any other excuse, or even tell us that, yes, he picked the form, but now, he is bowing out of the race, and I think it would have been more acceptable and honourable.
