They have known each other since they were teenagers and very early discovered to share a big love for electronic dance music, especially for late 80s House music. They began DJing together and soon became prolific with getting residencies at music festivals and predominant nights in the venetian area. In 2011, after attending a workshop held by Lucretio, they became inspired by the APPOINTMENT program and began producing music with hardware gear without the involvement of computers in the studio. The Brenta studios since became a prolific meeting point of suburban energies, hosting regular sessions with friends like Madí Grein and Steve Murphy. Soon, this creative hotspot became the source of acclaimed releases on labels such as Chiwax. With the productions firmly rooted in improvisation and focus on sessions, the Brenta studios is a base for many collaborations, with Lucretio and Chevel as regulars and including projects like Riviera, Vape, Vulcano and Durant. With such strong output, the need for a podium grew and resulted in the founding of Muscle Records, which initial release instantly became a collectors item. With a production approach based on hardware and their strong love for the roots of house music, it needs no explaining why Die Roh chose vinyl as their weapon of choice for their DJ performances. That true school approach is also reflected in the music they play, Chicago House, Detroit Techno and their forefathers new wave and synth pop meeting the bassy flavours of the UK in a exciting, raw mix with a rusty edge.
