Ill be attending the ICoN4 conference in Edmonton at the end of June / early July. Unless something goes very wrong (or, I suppose, very right with a side order of minor disappointment), Ill be taking my usual few-days-vacation either before or after the conference. Edmonton is effectively next door to me here in Saskatoon. I would be overjoyed to take some of my international friends on a very Canadian adventure if they will be attending the conference and can spare a few days. Edmonton claims to be the gateway to the North, and its quite close to a huge area of lakes, forests, mountains, and other things that fall under the general category of Trees and Rocks and Water https://youtube/watch?v=asqWMKju-0A&index=2&list=PL0B39B5E1FC07927D Anyway, Im open to all sorts of ideas, from day-tripping by canoe on the North Saskatchewan river to a multi-day backcountry camping trip. This has nothing to do with the organization of the conference itself, this is just me making the offer to go on a trip with people who maybe have not had a chance to see this part of the world before.
