Ill be spinning Indian beats all weekend. Tonight Ill be at the Athenaeum at 5pm for a fundraiser celebrating the 10th anniversary of Obat Helpers USA. OBAT was established in the US to empower the distressed and forgotten Urdu speaking communities living in squalid camps in Bangladesh. Tomorrow I have the honor of making a brief presentation before the Zakir Hussain - 9/28 the Center for the Performing Arts concert, in the Robert Adam Room at 6:15. Ill be spinning some Indian electronic music in homage to Zakirs incredible Tabla Beat Science project which combined hip-hop and electronic music with Indian classical music.
