For no particular reason, I was thinking on Deborah Harry and High Fidelity and being a man and making lists and...Sometimes I think too much. I determined that the Picture This is Blondies third best song and, for me, features the seventh best line in the history of rock n roll, as long as you dont deconstruct it. An hour in the shower, really? It might not be the most poetic couplet put to music, but it struck a power chord and stayed with me. Possibly because, for a slightly confused 17 year old, it was nice to have Ms Harry affirm that female desire was not only real, but potentially every bit as bold and rapacious as its male equivalent. That might seem a strange statement to make, but then most of you didnt grow up in the sixties and seventies. Admittedly, it wasnt quite the Victorian era, but sometimes people forget how much attitudes have changed in the last ten years, let alone the last 40.
