Ill post it again for ome plebs to read it : This is an objective review do not fanboy :(Contains spoils) So after reading and watching both manga and anime of Tokyo ghoul just to adress some points here is my opinion : 1-Manga : The manga was very good , well written , well drawn , from another POV the story and how detailed it was on the manga was pretty darn good , the character developpment was clear and simple and straightforward , i enjoyed it alot specialy the arc where he finds out Rize was alive if i were to note it -> 7/10 2-Anime : The anime was a lay back for me , after the first episode got released , people started overrating the anime , which holded me back from watching it , but after a marathon , i have to say my opinion is still unchanged the anime is a shitty adaptation of a beautiful manga , every thing was rushed , the arcs with the coolest stuff were mostly skipped , character developpment was slow and in-complete , on the other hand the ending , the ending was seriously ( Chapeau for kaneki after accepting his ghoul side , hurray his hair turned white --) but come on , a cliff-hanger ?? just after the anime got better . So if i were to note it -> 5/10 Its a mediocre adaptation , it was rushed , it should have been 24 episodes at least , but they ended it right where it got better just so they can make a cliff hanger. Final thoughts on both manga/anime , the manga was good , the anime was shit and overrated nuff said.
