Ill premise this with a TMI warning. Our boy Aidan has been off his feed for over a week. Vomit, diarrhea, a 3 pound weight loss. We gave it only a day before we brought the vet in, and shes been stumped. Stool sample showed no parasites, X-ray showed no foreign bodies or obvious problems. We worried ourselves sick as he didnt seem to respond; and obviously felt terrible. Hes been going to work with me every day, and sleeping with us every night. He was on rimadyl, benadryl and careful feeding to keep him eating. Today he relieved himself of an entire plastic grocery sack. Yes. Apparently intact. No blood, no sign of intestinal distress. And he clearly feels better! No idea where he found this sack, nor what inspired him to consume it. We expect to take him off all the meds tomorrow, but will let our vet make that determination. I had no idea something like this could make it through the intestines intact; nor that it wouldnt show up on multiple scans. Who knew?
