Ill shortly be hanging a mustard coloured gourd in the tall maple out back in hopes the robins take up residence in it instead of atop the window sill above the patio table. I went through the same thing with these slow learners last year. I love then dearly, but their asses are just too wide for it and they make one hell of a mess (the likes of which youve never seen before). Last year I put a rubber snake up there and moth balls to halt their construction. Did it work? Well. hell no! They blundered ahead and slung mud, grass, sticks, and leaves all up and down the side of the house and all over the table, chairs, and patio and then just gave up and left it for old home skillet here to clean up. Maybe theyll like the gourd......Grief.
