Ill start by saying that if I were deployed to West Africa, I - TopicsExpress

Ill start by saying that if I were deployed to West Africa, I would go into voluntary quarantine upon return regardless of what was ordered. Its the right thing to do for friends, family, and fellow Americans, and I dont think youll see any military members complain (though, they should consider cutting the length of deployment by 3 weeks). However, Im just about sick and tired of this administration with no military experience making inane statements like the below. We get haircuts for much the same reason we cannot have beards: The ability to wear a protective mask if necessary and hygiene in a field environment without showers. Everyone going to West Africa should go into quarantine upon return, as its the right thing to do. This nurse running around avoiding the quarantine is just selfish. Unfortunately, this administration is making ridiculous excuses for a double standard. In making these excuses, they are putting down military members as second class citizens. The earlier administration justification for difference with the military is the claim we are not volunteers (like the medical aid workers). They need at least one veteran on staff to tell them: ever single member of the current military force is a volunteer (all draftees are gone). 2017 cannot come soon enough!!!!!
