Ill stick my nose out again, but Ill write less this time. I hope :) I came across these pictures on google. I have never seen anything like it and I know nothing of the horses or people behind it. The paint-job and type of photograph leads me to think that the hoof shape is formed with a purpose. What is/might be the idea with these hooves? Please look at both pictures. The very wide base is what Im referring too, concidering the shape of it, it just doesnt seem to be strong enough to be weight bearing... but is that the idea? Or is it to enhance the gait or impression? Or...? Is it a breed related thing? I get the feeling of draft horses, but Ive never seen hooves like that on drafthorses, ardenners or shire horses here. thumbs.dreamstime/z/horse-hooves-460108.jpg thumbs.dreamstime/x/running-horses-hooves-10928653.jpg https://flickr/photos/57744973@N00/9370715680
