Ill tell you why its our right to criticize Islam, you brainwashed Malaysians. Its not about respect or racial harmony or whatever shit you were taught in school so that you grow up to become sheep. Its about political rights. In the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Europe, etc., Islam is just personal faith. In Malaysia, Islam is mixed with politics; our laws and institutions are very heavily-influenced by Islam. Therefore, Islam is a political system. Let me say that again. Islam is a political system. Surely its okay to criticize a political system. If you use Islam to control and govern the people, surely the people -- whose very lives are being subjected to the rules and principles of this arbitrary random religion -- have the right to speak up on it. You can no longer say its holy, sacred, or untouchable, and everybody must respect it and not question it, just because its your religion. If people are to be forcibly subjected to Islam, they should have the right to question it. Its only fair that way. If you keep your religion within your four walls and not let it influence affairs in Parliament, Putrajaya, and the civil service, sure we wont say a damn thing about Islam. Respect at gunpoint only goes so far. Ill leave you with a quote by Rowan Atkinson: What is wrong with inciting intense dislike of a religion if the activities or teaching of that religion are so outrageous, irrational or abusive of human rights that they deserve to be intensely disliked?
