Illness doesn’t stop top 20 JT graduate from crossing stage. KaBrea Pipkins wasnt sure if she was going to make it to the John Tyler H.S. graduation. Its not that she didnt have a ride. Its that she almost didnt have her life. KaBrea, age 18, is a gifted student who has always excelled in school. However, in February, a sudden, serious illness sidelined her & she missed the rest of her senior year. She came down with a neurological illness that had her weak, unable to move at times,in a cardiac ICU and on a ventilator. She was able to do the rest of her work, partly from her hospital bed, and even maintained her top-20 status. She ranks 12th of the 344 graduates. Congratulations, KaBrea! .bit.ly/1ldcAae
