Im 3 years stage 4 cancer. It was transitional cell and adenocarcinoma left kidney and adrenal removed. I had chemo, which left me hospitalized, every other week. As a result, I was able to do some traveling. The tumor has spread to bladder,abdomen and remained stabled for a year. They found multiple nodules in lower lobe of lungs. I have decided not to do any other treatment. I have no family,or spouse all have died. Im living with a friend who doesnt understand medical or the progression of the disease process. She recently lost her brother to leukemia, and has grief issues with her parents that died 3 years ago in their 80s. Im 57 and my breathing has become harder to deal with. When there is humidity, I have problems. At night when the barometric pressure drops, it is difficult. I stay indoors when it becomes hot and humid. I have the overhead going and I need the ac. We have battles over the ac. She tells me to dress warmer. I cannot get her to understand what I feel or her friends. Any advice? Im an rn who receives a small stipend from disability, but oxygen saturation Isnt low enough to warrant oxygen. Her friend asked me when the last time I got laid?! My friend is in major denial and yells that Im upsetting her. My reality is I know what is going on and I need help. If no one has an answer, please include me in your prayers Heather Morella.
