Im 5,473 miles deeper into the chase season since leaving home on May 21. Been a relatively quiet period while on the first of my two projects which concluded officially today. While quiet, it served up some great scenery and offered me the chance to say I chase from Texas to North Dakota back into Oklahoma. Tomorrow looks to change the quietness with a Nebraska play thats certainly an eye-opener. Glancing at the models this evening, I figure I am 4-5 hours from most targets I consider plausible tomorrow, thus leaving from Salina between 9-10am seems pretty good. I am hopeful for a Kansas dryline play, but obviously the main focus will be on the triple point/warm front in Nebraska. If I see enough further south to warrant the secondary choice, I am hopeful to play that, but obviously right now am focusing my intentions on the Nebraska play ATTM. After tomorrow, there is potential for a Wednesday chase in central IL that may get me out pending how Tuesday works out. Otherwise I am planning on spending two days in KC ahead of the start of my second project on Friday to just reset, do laundry, get the cars oil changed, and really just recover from this illness Ive been fighting since I hit the road. Last night was the first good sleep Ive had in a while, and I felt much better today, so I imagine a couple down days would do me a world of good. That said, I am gonna try for another good snooze tonight ahead of tomorrows insanity, and will be ready to settle down for a couple days to get reset. As for project 1, a great success in terms of collecting footage and being out in some wonderful places. Im excited to start cataloging my media over the summer! Quickly, I do plan to stream tomorrows chase and will post the YouTube link when it goes live. I am anticipating a busy afternoon/evening. Ill post updates as I can!
