Im 53 and I remember what Christmas was like when I was young. It was a magical time, filled with good-willed neighbors, all saying Merry Christmas! There were manger scenes and Christmas lights, get-togethers and exchanges of presents. In school, there was always an exchange of Christmas cards between students and a little Christmas party, just before the long-awaited and prized Christmas Vacation. This was NOT a pagan holiday. Just because the early church fathers replaced many pagan days with Christ-centered days, instead, does NOT revert those days back to paganism. But, did those early church fathers have the authority to do this? ABSOLUTELY! On this rock I will build My church and the gates of hell shall not prevail. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth, will be loosed in heaven. Matt 16:18
