Im Gerry and I have been an admin for a while. Some of you know me from other groups. Been a huge Tiger fan since he came in on the scene and followed him when he was winning all those majors. I have mixed emotions about Tiger playing this week. If he is deemed healthy enough by his doctors I am all for him playing...but considering his history with back spasms in the past year or so I would think that he needs to think this thru. What I never really thought about when I see Tiger swing is how close to Ben Hogan his swing is...a classic. Not many of us come close to such a natural swing and I would imagine that hes had to tweak his swing to overcompensate for his knee and back issues. Golf is a very hard game on our bodies and it does take its toll. Whats your thinking on the long term situation for Tiger...should he play more or like Boom Boom know when to play and when to rest? I would like to see him focus not so much on the 18 majors Jack won...but on winning #15. However he approaches his game from this point onward will determine how he will be etched in golf history. No denying it...he certainly has changed golf for the better with his TW foundation and his involvement in growing the game as well as education for those who otherwise couldnt afford it! Any thoughts?
