Im a Kentucky native who has resided in Florida for what has now been 25 years and as October comes to a close Im feeling homesick. Each year at this time I think of the changing colors of the foliage and the leaves that fall shortly thereafter. Its rare for me to catch this annual occurrence but Im always aware of when its happening. This video fails to capture the true spectacular beauty of it all but the song is a favorite. Its an old French standard called Les Feuilles Mortes (The Falling, or Autumn, Leaves) and this version was recorded by the Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, who studied French for five years and sings it like no other.
