Im a fan of professional wrestling. And Ive heard it all before from people who attempt to throw a bucket of water onto this which I enjoy. Real? Fake? Whatever...it is enjoyable. Sure, it is predetermined outcomes but that doesnt make it fake. In fact it is absolutely real---Real, predetermined, very physical---It is a soap opera with attitude. So what is the difference between Downton Abbey, General Hospital, and Professional wrestling? Anyway, that is besides the point. While I do enjoy sports entertainment, Im embarrassed to learn that some very overzealous fans started a petition to get top notch wrestler Daniel Bryan in the annual Wrestlemania pay-per-view (PPV). It all seems benign until I see the petition was started via the White House petition page WE THE PEOPLE. This is set up for legitimate people to draw attention to legitimate issues. I can guarantee that despite the circus-like antics in Congress, they dont give a rats a*s about Wrestlemania. The petition which nearly hit the minimum number of signatures required (100k) has been removed by the White House. Thats good. Surely there are better ways to waste the White Houses time.
