Im a judgemental person. I dont need to know you lifes story to know youre weak. There are people I dislike, but I always draw the line at dislike. When you allow someone to anger you you grant them power over your emotions. At Amon Amarth and Sabaton there was a person who really really hates me, enough that hearing my name soured her mood. This chick has never actually met me, and only knows me by one of my aliases, and yet she still allows me the power to vicariously affect her enjoyment of life without any thought or any effort on my end. And theres a couple people out there, a few folks who disagree so strongly with my views that seeing me succeed or enjoy myself fills their mouth with bile. If you ever, ever catch yourself reviling someone so strongly that simply seeing them come into good fortune makes you uncomfortable: turn back, youve gone too far. I always say that even with people I dislike I wish them the best, Im not going to actively sabotage their lives out of spite because thats an inefficient application of time and energy. Anger is a natural human emotion and I dont agree with the cultural taboo its placed under. However, like the entire spectrum of human feelings, it can be unproductive if misaplied or used in excess. Always be a thinking animal first and a feeling one second.
