Im a little bit speechless about the past couple weekends of performances. They were ones for the record books..... After we struck the set tonight and I drove home and put my feet up and enjoyed a deep breath of satisfaction, I immediately felt a huge wave of gratitude wash over me. I am grateful for everyone who came out to see the show, expressed their appreciation in healthy laughter and applause and stayed afterward to give a hug or a well done! More than any show Ive done before, this one felt like a rewarding gift — a gift I wanted to give to the very cool and kind people in the audience, and a gift I received for being able to feel proud and privileged to be in the position to bring a little entertainment and levity to their holiday seasons. Moreover, I feel incredibly grateful to find myself in a supportive community of fellow artists who aim to put on worthy productions, no matter how much energy, focus or sweat equity they require. Theatrical Tendencies is so much more than a mere group of performers and artists. Everyone at TT puts their whole heart and self in whatever they contribute to a show -- and the ultimate product makes everyone involved better artists and better people. The LGBTQ+ community here, the collective of theatre-goers, and the Milwaukee population as a whole is better off because TT exists.
