Are we simply “putting on our Sunday best”, even in our prayers, or are we real? Being genuine in relationships means opening ourselves up to possible rejection. We all understand that. But we don’t need to keep things shallow with Jesus in order to protect ourselves. He knows every piece of who we are and loves us in spite of our flaws and mistakes. He will never reject us. If we want to mature and grow in our relationship with Christ, it requires having honest conversations with Him. Tell Him your thoughts… your dreams… your disappointments. Share with Him your struggles and insecurities.
