Im a native Catalan and Spanish speaker and an L2 medium level - TopicsExpress

Im a native Catalan and Spanish speaker and an L2 medium level Portuguese speaker (among other romance languages), so it should be easy for me learning Galician (Since we can, depending on your own definition of what a language is, consider them two dialects of the same language or two sister and really close languages), right? The problem is that I keep messing up vocabulary and end up speaking Portuñol with a, sort of, galician accent. (Also I really mess up with ortography: nh > ñ and all that) How do you guys avoid mixing close languages when you speak? What are your methods to keep vocabulary and grammar on its place and separate from influences of languages you already speak? Also, any Galician speaker over here who wants to help me practice?
