Im a planner. Im a planner and a list maker. I make lots of lists. I have a pile of lists over here and a pile over there. I have some lists beside my place at the table where I have my morning coffee. I make lists to take to work so I keep on track with an orderly cadence. We have an orderly way in which we process in-takes on Wednesdays & Thursdays and that process continues through the tagging of the Drop & Run Sheets, the tying of ribbons around the hangers, the extra slip with a name & date on bags of shoes or what-have-you. I do a thorough inventory the first of every week diagraming exactly where each persons items are hanging or sitting. Every month we change the color of the paper for the Drop & Run sheets. That way I know at the end of a month I should be sure all the Pink Slips are gone, etc. While Im inventoring I also make a list of all new names on that months colored slips. I take those notes home and enter everyone into my black book in an orderly fashion according to date. It is all regulated and fairly done. And then like in class at school we teachers are faced with the Real Day (reality). Someone, something happens and all our lists come to a grinding halt because something occurs thats more important than all the lists combined. And thats what happened today. People were my focus today: consignors, customers, little people, people who cried, people who laughed, people who just wanted to share. And Im alright with that because the best teachers are flexible. I have several people pictures I want to share. I am choosing to share one a night even though I wish you could see them all right now. Ill begin with a little person, point out a few good buys and end with gift ideas. Photo #1: Isnt she cute? This is Anna a Pre-K student. She was out shopping with mommy. She bought several items one of which is a black T-shirt that read: Spending time with you is the greatest thing to do. Anna & her mother caught a movie, shopped at the Ritzy Roost and were headed out to lunch. Photo #2: Well made and good looking skirts: Old Navy Lime Green/Aqua Print Skirt - Size: 0 - Price: $9.88 American Eagle Multi-Colored Skirt - Size: $9.88 Photo #3: Darling Sundresses: R & K Off-White & lack - Size: 4P - Price: $10.95 Duck Head Burgandy Plaid - Size: 3 - Price: $9.99 Photo #4: Many times I have heard people coming in say they are/were looking for antiques. Last night I featured the 7 Dual Screen DVD System for your back sit family members. Here it sits on the top shelf. If you look down to the 2nd shelf youll see antiques. The Teapot, Creamer & Sugar Bowl are made by Fritz & Floyd. Look it up online. The Teapot alone is worth @$100. But not at the Ritzy Roost. The set is on Sale. Now - back to my lists....
