Im a regular watcher of SNL. Ive loved many of the casts and have stayed with them through lots of transitions. I think that the most important element to each show is the host. You have a lack luster host and the show bombs. I was impressed with Drake. I was NOT impressed with Jonah Hill. Melissa McCarthy was disappointing. Her characters were mostly obnoxious or disaffected. Is that the best she can do? John Goodman was awful the last time he hosted. Please dont have him host again. My current favorite cast members: Taran Killam (his turn of the century critic brings joy to my twisted heart), Vanessa Bayer (her Jewish boy is so good & the Japanese pop culture TV show that she does with Taran is hilarious- MORE PLEASE!) Kate McKinnon (I love everything she does), AND REGULARS: Nasim Pedrad, Bobby Moynihan, Jay Pharaoh, Kenan Thompson have been consistent and funny ensemble players for quite some time. Im not impressed with the new horde of white boys that were added. But what really has sucked are the hosts. Paul Rudd was great. So was Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake. So #SNL, Id like to see #JohnHamm #hostSNL again. Thats all Im really trying to say here. And then you can casually cycle back all the amazing & recently departed & now successful on their own shows, cast members: #AndySamberg. Then maybe try and mix it up a little and OMG, have #MIKEMYERS host. Mike Myers. Still incredibly funny & charming, but unbelievably, NEVER hosted SNL. #THATSACRIME. Please add your comments, opinions, and suggestions regarding SNL. Sketch comedy is still one of my most favorite things.
