Im a total GRACE guy. I believe that God gives second chances over and over. And Im thankful! I believe in RELATIONSHIP over religion. But while I also believe that Grace is enough, I also believe that there IS consequence and a natural fallout over our actions. I dont believe its God reprimanding us for our actions (although He is able to kick BUTT!) but the natural repercussions of life and relationships that we then HAVE to work through. And sometimes it stretches out so far and affects so many more lives then just are own. A person cant always necessarily say well, its my life and my choices. It doesnt affect anyone else. Because most often it does. And then if we refuse to do the work, take responsibility and clean our stuff up, it just tends to get worse. So dont get mad at God. He was just trying to protect you. Dont get mad at others, because they were just in the path of the fallout. But allow Grace to do what Grace does... Clean you up, and restore you. Grace is the easy part. Picking up the pieces of the fallout is much more difficult. How much easier would it be if we just listened when God is trying to protect us from all the damage in the first place?
