Im a very busy girl. I stay super involved with my kids, their schools, my church, my friends, my volunteer organizations, my pets, my family, my travelling, sporting events, etc. My business usually annoys my husband who says I just spin around like the tazmanian devil, heading in every different direction at once. While this lifestyle does prove to be exhausting at times, it mostly just keeps my head too busy to stop and absorb the loss of my dad who would be celebrating his 70th birthday today. Hes been gone 2 years. Ive never grieved for him. I was always determined to be the strong one who refuses to crumble. My head realizes hes gone, but I wont let my heart accept it. My plan is to never deal with it and just hope the pain one day will go away. So far, this agenda hasnt worked. But I am strong willed and determined (just like him) and I keep telling myself Ill see him soon. If I were to cave in now, I scarcely think Id ever recover. Celebrating your birthday around the throne of Jesus has to be a pretty awesome thing. Hes one lucky dude.
