Im a worrier and oh how I hate it. I am however a signed up member of my own branch of worriers anonymous, and Im trying hard. For one, despite all the times I have worried, I know that it doesnt do anything (except make you feel sick); for two, it says I dont think Gods got the situation under control and yet I know He has the best plan for me if I trust Him, experience has taught me this, and, for three (?! Grammar issues here), I really, as far as is possible, do not want the girls to allow worry to take control of them-in fairness though, I could probably write a book outlining all the things I really dont want them to take after me!! Anyway, in response to Karas, Whats our activity going to be today? pleas, we had a wee think about Luke 12 v 27-28. I love spring and all that it promises and as a result, our house currently looks like a planted bulb gallery, so thinking about how incredibly amazing flowers look and how each little detail is created, wasnt too hard for us. Remembering that we are created in Gods image and as a result so, so much more precious to Him thsn even the incredibly intricate snd beautiful flowers, this focused our thoughts on how, if we trust Him to meet all our needs, He will! Jehovah Jireh- God is our provider! Doesnt mean we get all that we want (Despite what Kara & I thought, Elise informed us this that chocolate was indeed a want rather than a need!), but He will provide for our needs, as we trust Him! Worrying, it turns out, is not a necessity after all! The girls then created their own framed flower pictures using wee kits Id made up for them. I have to say, they were very proud of their finished creations and Ill happily find a space for them on our messy wall tomorrow! Seems that not only do flowers have something to teach us, they also have the power to bring you out in a smile, whether grown in a garden or made of felt in a DIY card frame :o) x
