Im about to watch a movie called Cry Freedom, starring Denzel Washington and Kevin Kline...and its about a white journalist who befriends a black apartheid activist here in South Afrika in the 1970s. When the activist is killed, the journalist tries to ensure his death was not in vain. This is interesting, but i have a problem though with this tendency of taking American actors to potray a story that happened a long distance from where they live now...why not take African actors who know the story best, than an American actor who is just doing it for the pay cheque!
