Im afraid Ive had to to change the title of my Justgiving fund raising page to 90km for Annette. In the end I cycled 54 miles in just 4 hours and 16 minutes (not including the ride from the campsite and back - another 6 miles). I was hampered by the awful weather (two thunderstorms), my dodgy ankle and an incident with my saddle that I wont go into! At the route split I made the decision to go with the shorter route, as I dont really think I would have made the full 80 miles.Id rather have gone through the finishing line riding myself than in the support vehicles!! However, I dont feel like I have let the memory of Annette down - with the training miles, I did well over 80 miles and we have all raised nearly £400 to a worthwhile cause. Id like to thank each and every one of you for donating and for being so generous.
