Im all for the #freemium #business #model on #knowledge #sharing, as I showed to more than a couple of thousands of readers with my modest books on slideshare.net/robertolofaro- walk the talk! mmmh.... it seems that my experiment is working: after getting focused on getting up at the same (early) time each day, today... I was able to know the time to get up without help from the alarm in the end- is relaxing to get up early and read newspapers (see here or on twitter/robertolofaro on Twitter) under the conditions that I set to be able to share links online (either free, or with an abstract free)- the logic? if you cannot remove an element (waking up early)... embed it in your routine (I know- it is a #Borg attitude, as in #Star #Trek :D) why freemium? free= as it is something that you would do anyway, gives visibility at a minimal cost, and helps in focusing on structuring knowledge so that it can be shared (hence, helping to fix up the signposts in your brain, for #future #connecting-#the-#dots #reference) premium= as it is normal to consider that knowledge producers (or distributors) need to make a living (in the past, I paid online subscriptions to, between others, El Pais, WSJ, ForeignAffairs- soon I will choose again) in my case: I share just links with 140-char-type commentary to help steer attention to articles worth sharing (I read more) but I will explain this week-end *why* I selected the six newspapers that I now check Mon-Fri (OK, occasionally few more, but mainly during the day) ;)
