Im almost over emotional right now as I lay here in the dark on my hotel floor typing this at 5am. I have been beginning to question why Im here. I miss my family and my country so much and wish I could just be home..... BUT I have been give been given this gift to endure and in about 24 hours from now that journey will begin. This race will not change my life.....it will not define me as a person or even my running career. What it has done is show me what love really is..... First, from my family who has been there through the entire process, the daily training grind with the ups and downs and the daily letters of encouragement that they created that lift my spirits. To my wife....oh my wife....who supports me like no other. I will honor you with my race come Friday/Saturday! To my work family....Eryn Pingree Kella Kunz Clark Debbie Kleinfelder John Coxford and all of Prescott Middle School who embraces this gift I have and supports me each and every race...Thank You! To my Modesto family...Shadowchase Running Club...the Dusty Bottoms crew for their continued support and their unwavering encouragement. And finally, to David Adkins and Lydia Tyraki for the sacrifices you have made for this day to take place. The love you have shown through this process overwhelms me. It amazes me how blessed I truly am. God loves unconditionally because there is no way one man deserves so much love. The finish line does not stand a chance when I have this much help getting there:)
