Im always kidding my dear friend, Takayuki Matsumoto, for taking pictures of his food ... But this was so special... I just had to snap... Oysters Rockefeller with bacon... Served up at the bar at Bar Bacon ... A new place in our hood that is helping turn 9th Avenue in Hells Kitchen into Bourbon Street North... Located right near the corner of our block on 55th Street where 4 corners of the Avenue are occupied by three banks and The Alvin Ailey Dance Center... Nearly everything at Bar Bacon is made with bacon... Although my bartender tells me they havent perfected a Bacon Martini...YET... And the Bacon Cheesecake is open to questions... I suggested a Bacon Apple Pie... I think that combo might work ... My oysters with spinach and bacon were delicious and washed down great with Allagash... a white beer from Maine ... My Big Birthday is still a week away... but the celebrating begins!
