Im always surprised by how many people on the right are in favor of torture. Torture doesnt supply any credible information. Psychology provides information that says that those being tortured will say, quite literally, anything to get said torture to stop. Im also amazed at the support when torture runs so counter to Christs message. So often the Right is overwhelmingly Christian, and yet many people on the Right support things that run directly counter to Christs message. I suppose its easier to SAY you follow something than to actually do so. If God were real I think hed be ashamed of those that follow his son and condone this sort of behavior. I feel bad for these people for not having the ability to live up to their religious convictions. I wish nothing but love and understanding for them, that, maybe, they can grow and be the men and women their religious beliefs say they are.
