Im amazed that Riley is doing as well as she is. To think that yesterday she went totally under, had 5 fillings, 5 baby root canals and 5 stainless steel crowns (thank you reflux). And her only request? A giant lollipop (she gets one the size of her head after every surgery and hospital stay) and her mint Milano cookies that Pa always gets her lol!! She slept all last night, shes needed very little medicine today, shes played, rested, fully hydrated and shes eating! I have no doubt that her surgery and recovery being the smoothest ever, are from your prayers to our gracious, most loving God! He has poured favor upon us, allowing daddy to see and talk to her right after surgery and just before she fell asleep last night! A side note...when she was coming put of Anesthesia, she was really upset and very uncomfortable. Truly inconsolable. I took out my phone and played recorded videos from daddy that he makes before every deployment. As soon as she heard his voice, she grew quiet and would settle. She never opened her eyes but every time she would get upset again, Id play daddys voice and she would instantly settle. And doctors told us she would never bond or love. Ha! Truly, only her daddy will do!!
