Im an avid googler of images of the Mid East and Iraq and Afghanistan pre devastation and horror of wars just to see what life was really like from these backward tribal savages. Because of my association with good Arabic and Afghani people over the last 20-25 years, being exposed to their stories, their experiences and even being subjected to their cinema (Egyptian and some Syrian)I could see a modern, thriving, almost western style secular style of living that today has been turned on its head with images of poor, tribal, war ravaged and religious influences give the impression that these peoples were never going to modernise or be tolerant of western influences. Well western influences and greed and self righteousness have totally bombed them back to the dark ages as so often is the cry!!
