Im annoyed!!! So apparently Amber Rose is going to be apart of the documentary entitled light girls that is a follow up the the documentary dark girls. The point of these documentaries is to discussion colorism and its affect on black lives. Now miss rose is public ally claiming that older members of her family a new interview with Oprah Network, didnt attendher wedding day, and the heartbreak she dealt with over her family refusing to attend because Wiz Khalifa was “black.” Amber Rose tells own: “With my family, they feel like they’re more superior or better than an African American because we’re Creole and we have culture and that’s something I battle with most of my life,” she explained in a sneak peek of Light Girls airing Monday night. “It’s more of the older people in my family.” Rose goes on to infer that some of her family didn’t attend her wedding because she married an African American. To this day, that reality still upsets her tremendously. “It’s such a sensitive subject that it’s hard to explain yourself without sounding mean or bitter or angry, but I am,” she shared. “I’m angry that my family is like that and they want to pass so bad that they raise my mom and my uncles and my aunts to not fully know their culture.” She added, “Our younger generation, we’ve embraced it so much and I feel like that’s why my father is white.” 1. I need recipes that this woman is even creole 2. If her family members are trying to pass for white then why would their creole ancestors have anything to do with anything because in order to embrace your creole roots the african aspect has to be embraced as well 3. She was a stripper if her creole family ties are so hell bent on saying they are better than folks and such how did her stripper past fit into all that? 4. I think her statements are going to perpetuate ignorance of the creole community to non Creoles and do more damage than good 5. I call bullcrap
