Im as libertarian as they come, but the idea that one person needs to have one car is laughable. The issue of whether mass transit should be government-funded or affordable is one for another discussion, but American car culture isnt about left vs. right — its about sensible vs. stupid! Also, if you have designed your life so that driving a car is the only way for you to get between the places you live, work and play, you have no right to complain about traffic or gas prices.
