Im at my wits end with my 14 y.o. maltipoo. In previous posts I shared that she was diagnosed with an intestinal disease. The Vet started her on prednisone earlier this month. The first week I could sneak her pills in with her food no problem. When she started eating around her pills, I gave it to her with cheese. She now rejects the cheese so I switched to hot dogs. Same with her food. She HAS to eat on this steroid otherwise she throws up. She refused her dry dog food. Ate fried egg and rice mixed with dry dog food for a week or so. Had to add chicken to the mix to entice her further. She now refuses to eat that. Wont eat the pumpkin I gave her or the sweet potato. I started her on sliced turkey yesterday and now she turns her head at it. I know shes hungry because she walks to the kitchen almost as often as she asks to go out - every 1/2 hour or so. Im not sure what else to offer her to get her to eat! Any suggestions?
