Im awake after a long well needed nap. I was so excited to see Mike by my side and kiss my forehead. So happy to wake up to him. Surgery went well. I had an epidural and was awake for the whole thing besides some lovely sedation. I felt the cutting, cauterizing, pulling and tugging but for the most part no pain, just scared. The doctors and my nurses were so amazing at keeping me calm and comfortable. Im in a lot of pain but otherwise extremely happy! And I have Mike here so of course everything is perfect! He just ordered me some food so Im anxious to eat. Im on bed rest from here on out so thats weird to me but we must keep Fighter in me as long as possible so he can develop his lungs and survive. He cannot be a premie baby, which we have known. Thank you everyone for thinking of Fighter. I cant wait to until he is born so you all can meet him!! He has no idea how loved he is already!!
