Im aware that the home / cave / browse functionality is all a bit of a half done mess at the moment. Its my next task. Does anyone have any input on what theyd like to see on the homepage - which, for these purposes, we can think of as the page you drop onto as soon as you log in. My considerations are : 1) Kids accounts will only be able to see monsters they have worked on, and only work on people their parents have favourited for them (using an as yet nonexistent process) 2) It would be nice to see any monsters that you have worked on that have been finished since you last logged in 3) It would be nice to see some of the most recent monsters 4) It would be nice to see the current most popular monsters of the day/week/month (depending on site busy-ness) Im sort of veering towards a basic combo page, starting off with any monsters youve worked on that have been finished since last login, then a list of all direct-ish requests (Bill wants you to draw a body for stinky, Jane wants a friend to draw legs for horseface etc), and whether there are any or not, a link to the public birthing chamber. If there are no monsters finished since your last login, Id probably lead with the most recently completed ones. Then in either case, under the mini birthing chamber, Id have the most popular of the moment. Any of the browsey things (your finished / recent finished / most popular) would have easy ways to go to a general browse through all the monsters in that category. Anyone have any thoughts on any of that, or better ideas? Note: Ideas may be ignored with extreme prejudice.
