Im back in my house! Sort of. Eight months after the fire today was move back day. Movers arrived at my apartment early this morning to load their trucks. Once at my house they unloaded everything, including what was salvaged from the house after the fire. The guys from ABC Moving and Storage were great. Unfortunately the people from FireDex (who initially handled my fire restoration) were not. A lot of things are not cleaned, some things are broken or rusted and several things are missing or just wrong. My new house is a sea of boxes and shrink wrapped furniture. What Ill find as I start unpacking is a mystery. Right now Im more overwhelmed that any point in this long ordeal. Im sure it will all sort itself out in time, it always does, one way or another.
