Im beginning to wonder if all the work Ive put into recovering from depression has been a big mistake. In a way melancholia is the ideal mental state for a long term unemployed priest with no real hope of ever getting his job back. They go together in a definite horse and carriage way. Coping with unemployment, and an impoverished retirement hurtling towards me at full speed, with full mental lucidity is very frightening and it is also making me very angry; not this time with those responsible for my situation but just with the stupidity of it.
