Im being haunted by a song. I fall asleep listening to Pandora, but one song keeps waking me up for some reason. When I listen to the radio (in my waking life) its always politics. So, Im not familiar with whats going on in music (since the eighties). I finally got out of bed, put my glasses on, and saw that the song was Pinks Just Give Me A Reason. The lyrics (at least those I could make out) were awkward. When I looked them up, I found them to be really bad. At one point it seemed almost as if someone had cut and pasted a piece from Lewis Carrolls Jabberwocky. But Im sure, as most of you know, bad lyrics have never made a bad song as a bad melody or bad vocals can. The world of music is full of bad lyrics. The best example of this is Jewel. Very popular for a time, and well deserved. She was a hard worker. So she published some of her poetry. Her fans all ran out and bought up copies. As for the rest of the American public: well, it flopped. It was just bad poetry. So I cant get this melody out of my mind and thought Id share my sweet torture with all of you: youtu.be/OpQFFLBMEPI
